The Apex 2013 Qualifier Circuit is going to be an exciting season of events leading up Apex 2013! Our qualifiers, ran by some of the best tournament organizers throughout the community, will be the chance for all competitors to show off their skill prior to Apex 2013, so we can accurately seed them in the event. Show up to qualifiers, place well and earn seeding points, and those points will seed you appropriately at Apex 2013. We will be doing our best to work with Tournament Organizers throughout the world to ensure a balance of great events for all regions and countries!

We aim to have around 16 qualifiers for both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. We will be announcing our partnerships with these events via www.apex-series.com, so stay tuned for updates on events. There currently are no set plans on FGC event qualifiers.

As said, placing well in qualifier events will earn you points, which seeds you better at Apex 2013. We have completely remade the system from 2012 to improve our seeding accuracy and have more events for all of you. The top 16 players in the singles tournament at each event will earn points. The following is how the distribution of points will work:

1st – 1024 points
2nd – 512 points
3rd – 128 points
4th – 64 points
5th – 16 points
7th – 8 points
9th – 2 points
13th – 1 point

Aim for as high as you can! Attend multiple qualifiers to rack up as many points as possible! We will be announcing in the near future how seeding points will place you in the Apex 2013 tournament. To get the best bracket you will want as many points as possible!
