2013 is already looking to be a great year for the Apex staff. We have so many big announcements coming your way and this year we are taking everything up a notch as we look towards changing things for the event and the broadcasts. Do not be shocked but our streams are something that will help everyone enjoys the event no matter what they play.

For those not in the know, streaming is something that is very useful for video game communities. It allows events to be presented not just to people not able to attend, but, gives people new to a competitive scene the chance to watch some of their favorite players at the leisure of their own home. It is something that helps to expand to reach casual, and competitive, minded players alike. While ideally, we want everyone to come and attend, we understand that is merely impossible. This is why many events have streams. Not only has that, many internationally attended events had great commentary telling the stories along the way. We get to here the triumphs and the defeats of almost everyone all in one broadcast. It is a story stream directors weave as they have commentators talking about those players. This year at Apex 2013 we will be proud to announce we will be having the three BEST streaming groups in the East Coast to bring you not just the big matches but the small ones as well.

Dedicated Fighting Game Community Streamer

Raised in Brooklyn, Bifuteki is the director in charge of the majority of the fighting games at Apex 2013. Last year he showed he could handle a major event and we are proud to be bringing him back this year. He is one of Twitch.tv’s oldest partners and wants to show why he is one of the best directors in the East Coast. His motto “720p” shows that he cares about the highest of quality. Throughout the event this year he will be making sure our fighting game stream is of the highest quality. Bifuteki will also be broadcasting some major Super Smash Bros. Melee matches throughout Sunday (more details to follow) so he will be helping taking some of the great matches and putting them online for your viewing pleasures.

Dedicated Super Smash Bros. Streamer

ChiboSempai is the hardest working streamer for the Super Smash Bros. community. Since he has started, he has been able to innovate his style and became the most sought after Streamer in Super Smash Bros. history. Almost every event on the East Coast that is considered a major event has been, or will be streamed, by ChiboSempai. It is not the name that catches people either. His streams are some of the best looking, well designed, and clearest, streams for the Super Smash Bros. community. For Apex 2013, he will be helping get all those important matches that cannot be streamed on 8wayrun’s stream on his stream. His goal is simple; Get as many great matches as possible on his stream to help promote the community.

Main Streamer for all Games

8wayrun is one of the biggest names in streaming. Thanks to 8WayRun’s stream Apex, for the first time ever, reached over ten thousand viewers at a single time. A New Jersey native, Jaxel streams most, if not all, of the video game events throughout the state. We are happy to work with him and make this 2013 even better with his help. He will be handling all of our games championship matches. Depending on the game, we will be showing top 4 or top 8 of each game. On our grand stage Jaxel will handle everything and be putting together some great content for everyone.
