Interview with Armada

Recently, Alex sat down with Apex 2012 Melee Champion, Armada. In anticipation for this weekend’s qualifier, Smasher’s Reunion, he went over several topics including Apex 2012 highlights, expectations for 2013 and some interesting topics not many people hear about. Alex Strife: The Road to Apex has begun and today we have with us Apex 2012 Melee Champion Armada. Before we begin how have you been? Armada: Very good, thanks for asking. Alex Strife: As we know, your gamer tag is Armada. What is your full name and where are you from? Armada: My full name is Adam Conny Axel Victor Lindgren. A lovely child, like me, has many names. And I’m from Kungälv, a small city in Sweden close to Gothenburg. Alex Strife: That is a very long name! I envy the name Axel, but as a Megaman fan I hate it ha-ha. Now many people don’t know despite your skill you are one of the youngest smashers on a high level. How old are you now? Armada: Megaman is great! I’m 19 years old. Alex Strife: That’s pretty young. Are you attending college (University) if so, what are you studying? Armada: I graduated five weeks ago. Right now I have no plans for College and even if I will go it will be 1-2 years from now. Hey everyone! This is Alex Strife here presenting an interview with two of our great partners.  These guys have been putting together our content for our broadcast. Alex Strife: Ok guys we know of you but we would love if you introduce each other and tell us a little bit about yourselves. Jaxel:: This is Jaxel:, sometimes known as Jaxelrod; I am the owner and administrator of 8wayrun.com, the tournament community for all things Soulcalibur. I’ve been putting match videos online since 2004; but I’ve only been streaming for a little over a year. Bifuteki: My name is Andre, a lot of people call me bifuteki based on the site i represent. I am Founder and CEO of bifuteki.com. We do a lot of stories on gaming, street art and fashion. I have been streaming for about a year now. Jaxel: I’m very elitist, as many people know; I believe fully in high quality and I demand only the best. In addition to being an online broadcast, I am also a programmer and the majority of the features you find on 8wayrun.com were programmed by myself, and are available for download for free online for use by other communities. Pokemon Qualifier #1 Results and Interview With The Winner!

The competition for Pokemon at Apex 2012 is building, and players are ready to show what they’ve got to offer. Similar to what is offered with other games, four qualifiers will be held online for seeding points at the event, and the first even was held last Friday. Entrants met online with the Pokemon Online simulator to pit their teams vs each other in a double elimination bracket where the top four winners will receive seeding points for the events at Apex. A qualifier was held for both Singles and Doubles, so players had the chance to earn seeding points for each event.   Singles Results: 1: theamericandream38 – 8 points 2: Jarvitz – 4 points 3: Jio – 2 points 4: Arban – 1 point 5: Ttar Ph.D 5: The Wolf 7: Zori 7: Hawkstar 9: ssi Bracket Image   Doubles Results: 1: theamericandream38 – 8 points 2: Jio – 4 points 3: Jarvitz – 2 points 4: rekcornomtih – 1 point 5: Superpokemon67 5: iss 7: orange crush 7: Hawkstar 9: pricilla 9: The Wolf 9: Cybertron 9: Redspyda Bracket Image   theamericandream38 recently posted on Smogon how he had purchased his plane tickets from Missouri for the event, and he participated in the qualifier to show that he is making the trip out here to win!
